History of Diving Museum presents: FREE Seminar Series
The History of Diving Museum continues its 2012 Immerse Yourself! series with a free special event: “Art McKee and the Treasure Divers” presented by Musuem Founder, Dr. Sally Bauer. Who was “Silver Bar McKee” and why was he called the Father of Modern Treasure Diving? Dr. Sally Bauer, Museum Founder, will present the story of this intriguing man. Starts at 7 p.m. at Diving Museum, mile marker 83 in Islamorada. Immerse yourself in the fun!

Departs from the City Hall Parking Lot, located on the corner of Angela and Simonton. Tickets $25. Can be purchased ONLINE or at the trolley, our G&L Visitor Center (located at 513 Truman), and many of our distinguished gay and lesbian guest houses.
Key West / March 17 – November 30
More than 40 species of fish are targeted during these months, with divisions for men, women, junior anglers (ages 10 to 14) and Pee Wees (under 10 years old). In a March kickoff event, anglers target 15 species and $5,000 in cash prizes is split between the top anglers.

Key West / August 10 – 12
Events include the Duval Crawl on Friday night, a street fair and free concert Saturday, and a spectacular Sunday brunch. Saturday’s street fair features lobster-inspired culinary creations ranging from appetizers to full dinners with traditional trimmings. Local restaurants and arts and craft vendors are expected to participate. The festive feast takes place in the 100 through 500 blocks of Key West’s famed Duval Street. A free concert featuring local and regional bands is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and continue until 11 p.m.
